You can rehearse common questions, competency tracks, job-specific interviews, or your own custom questions, record answers under time pressure, and review your response before the real interview. The simulator is designed for preparation and does not reproduce an employer's private question set or scoring model.
Yes, if you want to complete a realistic recording session. Use the same device, browser, camera, microphone, and room setup you plan to use for the real interview whenever possible.
A useful approach is to complete one baseline recording, review it for relevance and clarity, then repeat only the answers that need improvement. Stop when your examples sound structured and natural rather than memorized.
No. Practice can improve familiarity, answer structure, and confidence, but hiring decisions remain with the employer. Candidate Falcon is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by HireVue.
HireVue gives you a practice question before your real interview; practice answers are not saved or seen by anyone but you. Candidate Falcon's HireVue course and guides are also free to read. The timed simulator, with more questions and AI feedback, requires a video interview plan.
No. Each employer writes its own questions and they are not public. The simulator uses common interview questions and competency topics, and can build questions from a job posting you paste, so you practise the kind of question you are likely to get.

In a HireVue on-demand interview, a question appears, a think-time countdown runs, and then you record your answer with nobody on the other side. Recruiters watch the recordings later. Some employers also use HireVue's AI assessment, which HireVue says scores the transcript of what you say, not your face, appearance or tone of voice.
Before the real questions, HireVue gives you a practice question. Practice answers are not saved or seen by anyone but you. Use it to check your camera and microphone, but one question is not enough to feel comfortable with a full interview.
Each session uses a think-time countdown you cannot pause, a recording window and a limited number of takes, so you practise the hard part of HireVue: answering well the first time. After you record, AI feedback rates the relevance, clarity, structure and concision of your answer from its transcript, and suggests a tighter version.
