Plum Assessment Practice: Discovery Survey Puzzles, Scenarios and Preferences

Practise every section of the Plum Discovery Survey before you take it: the problem-solving grid puzzles, the social intelligence scenarios, the forced-choice statement and adjective sections, and a full run of all five in order. The formats follow Plum’s help center and prep-site descriptions; every puzzle, scenario and statement is Candidate Falcon’s own. These are independent practice simulations, not the real survey, and Candidate Falcon is not affiliated with Plum or Phenom.

Choose a module to practise

All four modules are included in the 1 Game Platform Prep plan (from €12.99/month) when you choose Plum as your one assessment platform, in All Games Platforms Prep together with every other platform, and in Full Access. See plans

What the survey is

Five sections in a fixed order: statements, puzzles, adjectives, more puzzles and workplace scenarios. Candidates report it at employers such as Citi and Bloomberg.

How timing works

Plum says the survey is not timed and takes about 25 minutes; you can pause and review your answers at the end. You usually take it once, with a retake possible a year later.

How results are used

The employer compares your profile with the Talents it chose for the role. Prep sites report a match score that candidates do not see.

Plum practice modules

Four modules, each with a free guide on its page. Practice runs need a plan that includes Plum.

What you practise in each section

Each paragraph says where its facts come from: Plum is Plum’s help center, Prep sites is unconfirmed, and Candidate Falcon is how our simulation works.

The problem-solving puzzles (sections 2 and 4)

Prep sitesA sequence of grids with shaded squares and several options for the grid that comes next (a 2024 candidate reports five), about seven puzzles in each of the two sections.

PlumYou select the missing piece in the sequence by clicking it. The puzzles range from easy to very hard, the survey is not timed, and your score is compared with other test takers.

Candidate Falcon14 generated puzzles with one to three rules each, a time-taken clock, and every rule and wrong option explained after the run.

The social intelligence scenarios (section 5)

PlumFor each workplace situation, choose the response you think is least effective and the one you think is most effective.

Prep sitesAbout seven scenarios.

Candidate Falcon10 scenarios per run from a bank of 30 original ones, with our own effectiveness rating and reason for every response. It is not Plum’s key, which is not public.

The statement and adjective sections (sections 1 and 3)

PlumChoose the statement most and least like you from each set, and the three adjectives most and three least like you from each list. Plum says these sections have no right or wrong answers, and similar statements come back against different ones.

Prep sitesAbout 20 statement sets and 5 adjective lists.

Candidate FalconOriginal statements and adjectives, an estimated profile on Plum’s 10 public Talent names with your top 3, a sample role-fit exercise that shows how matching works, and a check for answers that contradict each other. The estimate is our own model, not your Plum Profile.

What practice can and cannot do

Candidate FalconPractice helps you learn the formats, keep a steady pace and answer the preference sections consistently. It cannot reveal an employer’s role profile or Plum’s scoring, and a Candidate Falcon result is not a Plum score.

Plum practice FAQ

What does Candidate Falcon’s Plum practice cover?

All five sections of the Plum Discovery Survey in four modules: problem-solving grid puzzles (sections 2 and 4), social intelligence scenarios (section 5), the forced-choice statement and adjective sections (1 and 3), and a full run of all five in order. Every puzzle, scenario, statement and adjective is Candidate Falcon’s own; the formats follow Plum’s help center and prep-site descriptions.

Can I practise to pass the Plum assessment?

Partly. The puzzles have one right answer, so practice pays off there, and the scenarios reward clear judgement. Plum says the statement and adjective sections have no right or wrong answers, so practice helps you get used to forced choice and answer consistently, not learn answers.

Is the Plum assessment timed?

No. Plum says the survey is not timed and does not record how long you take; it usually takes about 25 minutes. The puzzle and full-survey practice show the time you take, only so you can check your pace.

Is my practice result a Plum score?

No. Plum compares your profile with the Talents an employer chose for the role, and that match score is not shown to candidates or published. Candidate Falcon shows puzzle accuracy, how your scenario picks compare with our own model, an estimated profile on Plum’s 10 Talent names and a sample role-fit exercise that shows how matching works. None of these is a Plum result.

Which plans include Plum practice?

All four modules are included in 1 Game Platform Prep when you choose Plum as your one platform, in All Games Platforms Prep with every other platform, and in Full Access.

Plum’s help center, checked 23 October 2026: Discovery Survey FAQs, when answers don’t describe you, the 10 Plum Talents, retakes. Prep-site reports: JobTestPrep: Plum assessment, PracHub: Plum assessment guide.

Candidate Falcon is independent and not affiliated with Plum or Phenom; the puzzles, scenarios, statements and adjectives are original. For how the survey works, which employers use it and how results are used, read the free Plum assessment guide.
