Harver Practice Tests: Situational Judgement, Typing, Chat and Cognitive Simulations
Practise thirteen Harver-style modules before your assessment: the situational judgement test, typing test, live chat simulation, language, spoken language and writing tests, the multitasking test, a personality questionnaire and the five cognitive subtests, plus all 16 pymetrics-style games. Each module follows what Harver’s product pages and help centres describe, labels any detail that only prep sites report or that Candidate Falcon designed, and shows a review after every run. These are independent practice simulations, not the real test, and Candidate Falcon is not affiliated with Harver.

What the assessment is
A set of modules that the employer chooses for the job. Contact-centre employers often combine a situational judgement test, a typing test, an English test and a chat simulation.
How timing works
The cognitive subtests, typing test and live chat simulation are timed; the situational judgement test has no stated limit. A section left part-way restarts from the beginning.
How results are reported
Most scores compare you with other test takers (50% is average); the judgement and language tests show the share of correct answers. The employer decides whether you see them.
Harver practice modules
Thirteen modules, each with a free guide on its page. Practice runs need a plan that includes Harver. The pymetrics-style games have their own hub.

What you practise in each module
Each paragraph says where its facts come from: Official is harver.com or Harver’s help centres, Prep sites is unconfirmed, and Candidate Falcon is how our simulation works.
The situational judgement test
Official: Harver help centresYou see a work scenario, often on video, and pick the best response with a thumbs up and the worst with a thumbs down. The keyed best or worst earns a point, a neutral response earns nothing, and reversing them costs a point. The result is a percentage of correct answers.
Prep sitesAbout five to eight scenarios with three to five responses each, and no time limit.
Candidate FalconEight original contact-centre scenarios per run, scored with Harver’s rule and our own key, with the reason behind every response in the review.
The typing test
Official: Harver help centresYou retype sentences exactly; the clock starts with your first click; pasting, arrow keys and the mouse are blocked; a sentence with a mistake must be fixed before you continue. The score is net words per minute, with 38 as the average.
Candidate FalconThe same rules on original customer-service sentences, with your net and gross words per minute and accuracy after each run. Harver does not publish the test’s length, so ours is our own choice.
The live chat simulation
Official: Harver help centresAfter a practice round you have 12 minutes for three chats. Customers arrive one after another, you choose one of three ready-made replies for each message, and some answers need details from a side panel. Harver scores the quality of your replies and how quickly you respond.
Candidate FalconOriginal customers, orders and policies, with our own scoring of reply quality and response time, and a review of every message.
The language proficiency test
Official: HarverMultiple-choice vocabulary, grammar and reading questions, scored as a percentage of correct answers.
Candidate FalconOriginal questions in all three sections, with the correct answer explained after the run. Harver does not publish the number of questions or a time limit, so ours are our own choices.
The cognitive subtests
Official: HarverFive subtests, chosen by the employer: logical reasoning (Exclusion), verbal reasoning (Word Analogies), perceptual speed and accuracy (Checking), numerical reasoning (Number Sequences) and spatial ability (Components). Each is timed, with practice questions first, and scored against other test takers.
Prep sitesPrep sites describe the look of the logical, perceptual speed and spatial items, such as five figures with one odd one out. Some list eight subtests, which probably describes an older version.
Candidate FalconOne module per subtest, with original items, a countdown and a review of every answer. The number of items and the time limits are our own choices within Harver’s published ranges.
The spoken language and writing tests
Official: HarverThe spoken test records your voice: single words, reading aloud, listen and repeat, and sometimes two or four spontaneous questions, scored automatically on pronunciation and fluency and reported on scales such as CEFR. The writing test asks for 300 to 800 characters per question, with paste disabled and a default of 10 minutes per question, and reports a CEFR level.
Candidate FalconOur spoken module records each task and estimates your speaking speed, pauses and how closely you followed scripted text from the transcript and its timing, with written feedback and an estimated CEFR level. It does not measure pronunciation from the sound itself. Our writing module gives feedback on task response, vocabulary, coherence and grammar. Both are estimates, not Harver scores.
The multitasking test and personality questionnaire
Official: Harver help centresThe multitasking test has two quick games: comparing each card’s shape and colour with the previous card, and switching between judging numbers and letters. Personality Print gives a statement with two endings and a 1 to 6 scale, about 7 minutes for hourly roles, with no going back.
Candidate FalconBoth games are timed with practice rounds first. The personality questionnaire uses original items and shows a profile from our own model, with no right or wrong answers and no Harver norms.
The pymetrics games
Official: HarverHarver also sells the pymetrics games as its gamified assessments: 12 short games, about 25 minutes, with no right or wrong answer.
Candidate FalconAll 12 games and the four extra reasoning games are on the pymetrics practice hub, included with Harver.
What practice can and cannot do
Candidate FalconPractice helps you learn the formats, the pace and the screens, so the real test holds fewer surprises. It cannot reveal an employer’s key or Harver’s norms, and a Candidate Falcon result is not a Harver score.
Harver practice FAQ
What does Candidate Falcon’s Harver practice cover?
Thirteen modules: the situational judgement test, the typing test, the live chat simulation, the language proficiency test, the spoken language test, the writing test, the multitasking test, the Personality Print-style questionnaire and the five cognitive subtests (logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, perceptual speed, number sequences and spatial reasoning), plus all 16 pymetrics-style games on their own hub. Each follows the format that Harver’s product pages and help centres describe, labels any detail that only prep sites report or that Candidate Falcon designed, and ends with a review of your run. The questions, scenarios and chats are original.
Which Harver tests will I get?
The employer builds your assessment from Harver modules, so it depends on the job. Contact-centre employers often combine a situational judgement test, a typing test, an English test and, for chat roles, the live chat simulation; some add cognitive subtests, a personality questionnaire or a spoken language test. Your invitation tells you which modules you will take.
Are the Harver tests timed?
Some are. Harver gives roughly 5 to 15 minutes per cognitive subtest, 12 minutes for the live chat simulation, and a time limit for the typing test that starts with your first click. The situational judgement test has no stated limit. Candidate Falcon’s practice uses countdowns on the cognitive subtests and the chat simulation, and a clock that starts with your first keystroke on the typing test.
Is my practice score the same as a Harver score?
No. Harver compares most results with other test takers (50% is average) and lets each employer set its own scenarios and keys. Candidate Falcon shows your accuracy, speed and a review of every item, and the situational judgement practice uses Harver’s published +1 / 0 / −1 rule with our own key. None of these is a Harver score.
Does Candidate Falcon simulate the pymetrics games and the spoken language test?
Yes. All 12 core pymetrics-style games and the four reasoning games are on the pymetrics practice hub, included with Harver. The spoken language module records your voice and gives feedback on speaking speed, pauses and how closely you followed scripted text, with an estimated CEFR level from your transcript. It does not measure pronunciation acoustically, so treat it as an estimate, not Harver’s score.
