Confirm the required step is complete
Hiringplatform’s submission guide says a completion page confirms receipt. If it is missing, reopen the link in the latest invitation or reminder and check the final page of the step for Save and Complete. Follow the controls shown in your own process rather than assuming all recorded answers mean the entire application is complete.
An application can contain more than the video stage. Check whether the employer asks you to complete another assessment or document step. If an employer-required profile is available, its status can help, but this course does not assume every candidate has a profile.
The official email guide says to check the inbox and spam folder for confirmation and that delivery can take up to an hour. A missing immediate email alone does not prove failure. If the completion status remains unclear, contact technical support with the stage and time.
Separate receipt from a hiring response
A completion message confirms submission, not a job offer, shortlisting, or a fixed date for feedback. The hiring organization reviews applications and decides the next stage. Use its stated schedule if one is provided.
Technical support is not informed of application status and does not decide who advances. A recruiter may request another submission if there is a problem, but do not assume you will always receive feedback or that a delay means rejection.
Keep the invitation and confirmation available outside this course. Check the contact details and next-step instructions when an update arrives. This course does not save your completion history.
Choose whether and how to follow up
A thank-you email is optional preparation advice, not a VidCruiter requirement. Use it only if you have an appropriate recruitment contact and the employer permits that channel. Do not guess a personal address or repeatedly reply to a no-reply notification.
There is no universal requirement to send a message within twenty-four hours. Follow any stated instructions and response schedule. If there is no suitable contact, waiting for the stated next step is reasonable.
If you do send a message, keep it brief: identify the role, thank the team, and state a relevant reason for interest. Say you completed the step only after checking submission. Do not include confidential answers, ask technical support for a hiring decision, or demand immediate feedback.
Use the experience to improve your evidence
Write down the kind of skill you found difficult to explain, without copying private employer questions. Identify whether the problem was evidence selection, structure, time, or delivery. Choose one improvement for future practice.
A useful reflection is specific: “I described the team project but did not explain my decision.” Replace it with a plan: “I will rehearse one event with my responsibility, action, and observed result.” Do not measure the interview only by how confident you felt.
For a later live interview, prepare to explain the same truthful example in more detail. Keep the facts consistent. You can prepare a question about the role or work process without assuming that another interview will be offered.
Worked examples
These scenarios are hypothetical teaching examples. Use your own facts and decisions.
You have a completion message and an appropriate recruiter contact. The employer permits email.
Weak answer or plan
I passed the interview. Please tell me immediately when I will be hired.
Improved answer or plan
Thank you for the opportunity to complete the recorded interview for the coordinator role. I have checked that the step is complete. The role’s focus on organizing requests interests me because of my volunteer scheduling experience. I look forward to the next steps described in your invitation.
Why this works
This hypothetical message states completion and interest without claiming a result or imposing a response deadline.
Put it into practice
Choose your next step
Use the employer’s instructions. If no contact is available, note that rather than inventing one. Keep private contact details outside this course.
Notes are not saved or sent. They clear when you leave or reload this page. Copy any notes you need before you leave.
Check your work
- Have you separated completion from hiring success?
- Is a message appropriate under the employer’s instructions?
- Does your reflection identify an action you can practise?
