Check the final status before you leave
Talview’s automated browser guide describes Submit All Answers followed by a confirmation screen. Your version may show different labels. Follow the actual final instructions for every assigned section. A recorded answer, a finished countdown, or a closed tab is not by itself proof that the entire assessment was submitted.
Read the completion message and retain permitted confirmation details, such as the date and reference. Do not assume an email will always arrive. If the screen shows an error or completion remains unclear, report the technical issue through the official support route rather than repeatedly starting a new session.
If the finish control is unavailable, follow the linked control-specific guidance. Do not use browser back navigation to manufacture a completed status. Ask for help early enough to explain the problem before the deadline where possible.
Ask the correct party about the next stage
Talview’s candidate manual says the employer communicates assessment status and next steps. Technical support is not the source of hiring results. Follow the employer’s instructions for recruitment questions, accommodations, deadline changes, or requests about another attempt.
There is no universal response deadline. A completion message does not mean you passed, were shortlisted, or will receive feedback. Keep applying and preparing while you wait. Use a stated timeline if the employer gives one; do not replace it with a fixed twenty-four-hour or two-week rule.
Follow up only through an appropriate channel
A thank-you or status email is optional and depends on an available, permitted contact channel. You may not have a recruiter’s address, and a no-reply invitation may not accept a response. Do not assume that Talview provides a message route to the hiring team. Use the employer’s stated channel rather than guessing a private email address.
Keep a permitted message short: identify the role, state the purpose, and ask one relevant question if needed. Do not send repeated messages or a full replacement answer set. For a technical fault, report the time, section, error, and action taken through technical support; tell the employer if the fault affects a deadline or requires its decision.
Turn reflection into one measurable action
After completing the process, write down what you can improve in your own preparation. Separate an observation from a guess about evaluation. I used too much background detail is an observation you can test. The system disliked my face is an unsupported assumption.
Choose one improvement: shorten the context, make your action specific, explain a result, or fix low microphone volume. Use an original practice prompt and record another answer later. Compare the recordings for that one change rather than trying to reconstruct private employer questions.
For the next assessment, keep a simple preparation plan: read the invitation, confirm each device requirement, prepare evidence, rehearse aloud, and check submission. The course fields are temporary, so use your own private notes if you want to retain your personal plan. Avoid saving employer-private questions or confidential information.
Worked examples
These scenarios are hypothetical teaching examples. Use your own facts and decisions.
You have an approved recruiter contact and the stated update date has passed.
Weak answer or plan
I submitted, so please tell me why I have not passed yet.
Improved answer or plan
Hello, I completed the assessment for the support role on the stated date. Could you please confirm whether there is an updated timeline for the next stage? Thank you.
Why this works
The message asks a limited process question without treating submission as a hiring result.
Your rehearsal answer felt rushed.
Weak answer or plan
I must change everything before the next interview.
Improved answer or plan
My setup used half of the practice time. I will cut the background to two sentences and keep my action and result. I will check that change in one new recording.
Why this works
A specific observation leads to a practical action.
Put it into practice
Confirm and plan one improvement
Separate completion, communication and learning. Use permitted confirmation details and your own practice observations.
Notes are not saved or sent. They clear when you leave or reload this page. Copy any notes you need before you leave.
Check your work
- Have you confirmed receipt without assuming a result?
- Is any message allowed and sent to the correct party?
- Can you test your improvement with an original practice prompt?
