Spark Hire Problems: Choose Your Next Step

Identify whether the problem is with access, equipment, recording, or submission. Use Spark Hire support for technical problems and the hiring company for deadlines and hiring decisions. Do not refresh an active answer to obtain another take.

Fix equipment before a real question

If the browser reports blocked camera or microphone access, check permissions for the interview site and your operating system. Select the intended device and close other applications that use it. Repeat the platform check and practice recording.

If the picture works but sound does not, check microphone selection, mute controls, and permissions. Listen to another practice video. For an unsupported browser, open the invitation directly in a browser from the official supported list. Use the linked troubleshooting guides for device-specific steps.

During a recording or upload problem

If a brief noise or interruption occurs and it is safe to continue, pause your speech briefly and return to your answer. Review the recording before submission. Use a retake only when the current screen permits it.

If recording or upload fails, read the error and note the time, question, browser, device, and stage. Do not repeatedly refresh, close a pending upload, or assume that another attempt will appear. Follow the error instructions or ask Spark Hire support for the next step.

A break between questions is different from interrupting an active recording. After returning through the invitation link, check the remaining questions and deadline. Do not infer submission from a working camera or an earlier practice video.

Technical help or employer decision?

Send Spark Hire support a clear technical report through the official request form. Include the exact error and the steps you tried. Keep passwords and sensitive answer content out of the report.

The hiring company controls deadline extensions and hiring status. The interview link may offer an extension request, an automatic extension, or no extension. Availability depends on company settings, and some options appear only after expiry. A request is not approval; check the displayed deadline.

If the job is deactivated, the official FAQ directs candidates to the hiring company. Do not create a second application or account to bypass the problem. If you do not have a company contact, use the instructions in the invitation and ask Spark Hire support for technical help.

Worked examples

These are teaching examples. Use your own facts and decisions.

An upload error occurs near the deadline.

Weak answer or plan

I will refresh until it works and assume the deadline will be extended.

Improved answer or plan

I will note the error, time, and affected question. I will contact Spark Hire support for technical help and use the employer’s stated channel or available extension option for the deadline. I will check whether an extension was approved.

Why this works

The technical issue and the deadline decision have different owners.

Put it into practice

Write a useful problem report

Imagine a silent practice video or a failed upload. Write a brief report with enough facts for support to act.

Notes are not saved or sent. They clear when you leave or reload this page. Copy any notes you need before you leave.

Check your work

  • Have you stated whether this was practice or a real answer?
  • Have you included the exact error rather than a guess?
  • Have you separated support from deadline approval?

Candidate Falcon is independent from Spark Hire. Your hiring company controls its questions, settings, assessment, and hiring decisions. Practice does not guarantee an outcome.
