Arctic Shores Order Game Practice: Build the Fourth Frame

Practise the Arctic Shores Order game: work out how shapes change colour, size, rotation and position across three frames, then build the fourth in 60 seconds.

Practice: 12 items, 60 seconds eachAlso called “order game”Also called “sequence of frames”

How the practice task works

  1. 01Study frames 1 to 3. Each shape follows its own rule for colour, size, rotation or position.
  2. 02Build frame 4: it starts as a copy of frame 3, so change whatever the rules change.
  3. 03Every attribute of every shape must be right for the frame to count.
  4. 04Each item has 60 seconds. Correct answers bring more shapes and rules.

Controls

  • Pick a shape, then set its colour, size and rotation
  • Click or tap a square to move the shape
  • Submit when frame 4 is ready

What the Order task tests

Order is the Arctic Shores reasoning task in which you complete a sequence. Prep sites and candidate reports describe three frames containing shapes that change from one frame to the next according to hidden rules: a shape may alternate colours, grow or shrink, turn by a quarter each time, or move across the frame. Instead of choosing an answer from options, you build the fourth frame yourself by setting each shape’s colour, size, direction and position with on-screen controls.

Prep sites report roughly a minute per item and about 15 minutes in total, with items starting from one shape and one changing feature and building up to several shapes with their own rules at once. Arctic Shores does not publish the task or its scoring. In practice every feature of every shape has to be right for a frame to count, so careful checking matters as much as spotting the rules.

How the Order practice works

  1. Look at frames 1, 2 and 3 and follow one shape at a time.
  2. Frame 4 starts as a copy of frame 3. Select a shape, then change its colour, size or rotation with the controls.
  3. Move a shape by tapping a square in the frame 4 grid or with the arrow buttons; moving onto another shape swaps them.
  4. Press Submit when every shape is right. You have 60 seconds per item.
  5. Correct answers bring harder items with more shapes and rules; wrong answers bring easier ones.
  6. Review how many frames you built correctly, the highest level reached and the feature you got wrong most often.

Order tips

  • Take one shape at a time and ask what changes between frame 1 and 2, then check that the same change happens from 2 to 3.
  • Check the features in a fixed order every time: position, colour, size, then rotation.
  • Remember that a colour can alternate between two values or cycle through three.
  • Watch for a shape that moves and changes another feature at the same time.
  • Use the last few seconds to check every shape against your rules before submitting.

Common Order mistakes

  • Getting the rules right for one shape and forgetting to update another.
  • Assuming movement is always one square in the same direction when a shape is moving round the corners.
  • Leaving a shape unchanged because it looked the same in two frames.
  • Running out of time by fine-tuning one shape while the others are still unchecked.

A short Order practice routine

  1. Do one run and note the feature the summary says you got wrong most.
  2. In the next run, check that feature first on every item.
  3. Aim to finish each item with 10 seconds spare for a final check.
  4. Before the real assessment, practise with the official instructions and controls in your invitation.

Order FAQ

How does the Arctic Shores Order game work?

Prep sites describe three frames of shapes that change by hidden rules, such as colour, size, rotation and position, and a fourth frame you build with on-screen controls. Arctic Shores does not publish the rules.

Is Order multiple choice?

Candidate reports say you build the answer rather than choosing it from options, which is why Candidate Falcon’s practice uses a builder.

How long is the Order task?

Prep sites report about a minute per item and around 15 minutes in total. Employers may configure tasks differently.

Should you practise for Arctic Shores?

Arctic Shores says you do not need to practise and should respond naturally. Practice can make the builder controls and the pace familiar. Candidate Falcon does not claim it changes your Arctic Shores results.

How are Order results reported?

Arctic Shores does not publish task-level scoring. If your employer shares feedback, it shows behaviours on a 1 to 10 spectrum compared with a norm group.
